This iconic landmark is a 70 ft. waterfall that’s found nearest the busy Metro Manila. “The fall’s name was derived from a large bell (taktak) which was thrown (hinulog) into the falls during the 15th century or the 16th century” (Villareal, 2020).
Things to do in Hinulugang Taktak
For adrenaline junkies, the famous Spider Web of Hinulugang Taktak hanging above the waterfalls is the main attraction. It sure is not for the faint-hearted, and you’ll absolutely get the best photos once you reach the middle of the web!
You may also enjoy a walk on their hanging bridges. It lets you walk amid the canopy of trees so you’ll surely feel a cool breeze while taking a walk.
Another activity that would thrill you is their rappelling activity. No need to worry about safety as it is said that “the park personnel underwent a two-level sport climbing certification course to ensure the safe use of the new attractions. The training was led by licensed coaches from the Sport Climbing Association of the Philippines” (Villareal, 2020).
For the chill vibes seekers, on the other hand, you can enjoy the park’s several gazebos, tables, and a pool which can be rented for a day.
Planning to have a quick trip to Hinulugang Taktak? You won’t regret it for sure! It is located in Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City, Rizal, only 1.7 kilometers (1.1 mi) away from the Antipolo Cathedral and can be reached through Taktak Road.
The best part? You can enjoy Hinulugang Taktak for only P30 for adults and P15 for students! Foreigners, on the other hand, have an entrance fee of P100.
