Nature is indeed a go-to for people who wants to breathe and unload. Luckily, there are many spots to commune with nature, just a few hours away from the Metro.
You may have already seen Mount Purro Nature Reserve, Hinulugang Taktak, or Phillip’s Sanctuary. These are some of the famous nature spots in Antipolo that provides not just the refreshing greens around, but also show you the rich biodiversity our country has.
Another must-visit nature spot in Antipolo is the Peace And Care For Earth Ministry Eco Park, more commonly known as PACEM Eco Park. This is located within the grounds of Assumption Antipolo, and was established to raise environmental awareness among visitors such as students, teachers, parents, or local and foreign tourists.
The Eco Park features “a mini forest, a wildlife sanctuary, an aviary, an organic garden, and a beautifully curated museum that showcases butterflies from all over the Philippines and other parts of Asia” (Team Klook, 2022). So, if you love butterflies, this place is your heaven!
Have you seen a cassowary your whole life? PACEM Eco Park is also home to many diverse animal and plant species. Wander through the park and you’ll surely learn about biodiversity.
Additionally, there are picnic areas and a treehouse where you can lounge and just find time to relax and hear the sound of nature around you.
The entrance fee costs only ₱85 for a great day spent with nature and family.
Now, grab your things and go on a quick trip to Antipolo!
